Nancy Wakefield was a long-time supporter of Heartland Quilt Network and she served for several years as the HQN President. To honor Nancy's commitment, the Nancy Wakefield Grant was established. The goal of the grant is to assist smaller quilt guilds in hosting a program/workshop that would not otherwise be affordable to them. To qualify for the Nancy Wakefield Grant, a guild must have a membership of less than 50 members and commit to contracting a HQN Professional member. 

The deadline for applying for the $500 Wakefield Grant is January 31st of each year. The recipient will be announced prior to the annual HQN meeting. Following the program/workshop, recipient guilds are asked to share their experience with the members of HQN.
